| This jewel uses a technique widely used in weaving Miyuki beads on a support. Here we wanted to upgrade this creation by weaving faceted beads in natural stones. The facets of the beads capture the light and give magnificent reflections to the ring. To start, take a wire of about 1 meter. Plan on enough wire because you will not be able to make a connection. Tie a knot on one edge of the ring, keeping about 15cm of thread. On this support we will make a gradient of pearls to fill the void in the center of the ring. To do this you will have to adapt the number of pearls to the available space. Start with a bead. Thread it onto the needle and then go around the edge of the ring, back through the bead and then continue to the opposite edge. Follow our diagram below. At each pass, tighten the wire well so that the beads are well positioned. Be careful to place the right number of beads, too many on the row could create tension and not enough, too much play. Feel free to slightly distort the ring holder to accommodate. Here we have placed 6 beads in the most spaced center of the ring. Once all the beads are positioned, make a knot inside the ring by inserting the needle into the last thread at the edge. To secure the assembly, you can place a small dot of glue on the knot. Thread the needle onto the starting thread and tie a knot inside the ring. Beautiful creation! |
