Crush beads

Here we made a 45cm necklace (without the extension that will allow you to adjust it). We wanted a necklace worn close to the neck but not too tight to accentuate the flexibility of the fall. You can completely adjust the  size to your taste by reducing the length of the chains, or by reducing the number of beads.

To begin, cut 2 pieces of chain of 10cm each. It is on these chains that we will connect the pearl threading.

Unroll your silk thread then thread a crimp bead, pass the needle through the chain link then pass it back through the bead. Crush it as close as possible to the chain with flat pliers.

Then to secure the attachment, make two knots at the edge of the crimp bead. Tighten well then cut the thread that protrudes at the edge of the knots.

Thread 12 small beads, try to take 3 by 3 to make assembly easier.

Alternate with a star bead and then start again with 12 new beads. Continue this way until you have placed 9 sets of 12 beads with the star beads.

Finish with a star bead.

Now thread a crimp bead and then pass it through the chain link. Pass it through the crimp bead again and then pull on the thread to tighten the threading.

Caution before crushing the crimp bead, make sure to leave the threading flexible but without any gaps between the beads. Your assembly must remain fluid without rigidity.

Then crush the pearl and make two tight knots at the edges. Cut the excess thread.

In the center of the pearl thread, place the pendant set with a 3mm ring.

Finally, on one side of the chain place the extension chain (3cm) with a 3mm ring and on the other chain, the carabiner.
